Who Am I and Why Should You Take My Advice?

This is a Fair and Obvious Question!

It's important that you get some understanding of who I am and what my life experiences have been. The more you know me, the more you will trust and understand me. If you don't trust me, we can't have the meaningful dialogue that is required for me to be effective as your Coach. I'll be more open and honest with you than most coaches would ever be! In turn I need the same from you.

I am not here to talk circles around my clients with a lot of psychobabble, we'll talk like old friends and without any judgement. Therapy, regression and all the stuff in your past is for the couch doctors and I am not interested or qualified to deal with this. I certainly respect those in the Mental Health field and applaud what they do as a very valuable service, but is not what Life Coaching is about. I believe in honest, straight talk concerning your future, what you want to become and the greatness that is within you. I make my clients think for themselves and bring their true values to the surface along with all the wonderful, life skills and amazing answers that are within every one of us.

Some of the best advice you will ever receive comes from those who have lived and experienced what you are going through. Some people were put on this earth to help others and have a natural knack for knowing the right thing to say at the right moment and how to draw the best from others. I help people by using the intuition and wisdom of my own personal life experiences and the professional training I have received. I am also dedicated to a lifelong commitment of learning, refining, improving and mastering my craft. In my life I have seen a lot, experienced more than most people, travelled extensively and experienced every possible emotion.

I am NOT a medical doctor or therapist of any sort, this is not 'Coaching'. What really and truly qualifies a person to be a coach is the dedication to helping others and the persistence to continually educating yourself to become better at what it is I do. Of course there is specific training and accreditation for Life Coaching. You wouldn't want to trust anyone who isn't continually refining their skills through recognized, accredited and proven programs.

I am a person who is highly regarded as an 'expert' in some areas of my life and someone who has built several business’ to very high standings. My track record in building successful business' speaks for itself and includes franchises, small mom and pop type operations to multi million dollar businesses. all in completely different industries. These include; retail, restaurants, sports, professional coaching and much more. My business success can, in large part, be attributed to my dedication to people and having a great understanding of how to draw the best from within each person and to make them truly believe in themselves. Motivating people to do their best is something I excel at and thoroughly enjoy doing. I draw a great satisfaction from seeing others better themselves and solve their own problems through my coaching.  I have been honoured by my peers and recognized by the media for my dedication to coaching and the results I have attained.

On a more personal note; I have endured many tragedies and serious illness in my lifetime. I wasn't expected to live past my teens and spent the equivalent of several years in hospitals during my childhood. I even 'died' several times, as I experienced countless cardiac arrests. Yet I am alive and well with children of my own. I have experienced great loss and the empty feeling that comes with it. My father walked away, when I was still very young, but definitely old enough to remember. I had an alcoholic mother who tried to ruin my relationships, was seldom there when I was growing up, but saved my own life many times before destroying what should have been a brilliant career and eventually passing away, long before she should have, due to the effects alcoholism had on her mind and body.

I have great children and thoroughly enjoy watching them grow into motivated,  respectful and caring individuals. I have experienced the thrill of driving a race car, travelled abroad and throughout the US and Canada.  I have enjoyed a professional career in sports - although not in the way you might think! I have and continue to voluntarily coach sports on many levels. I consider myself to be a motivational speaker on many levels and with my vast life experiences I feel I can help many others through these experiences. I have spoken to audiences both large and small and I have helped many people to make the right decisions with their lives and that of their families and acquaintances.

It is my training, proven results and life experiences that truly allow me to help so many others.
